The Story of Our Stuff is a 20 minute video about all the STUFF in our lives and how it affects communities at home and abroad, yet most of this is hidden from view. This video is a fast-paced, fact-filled look at the negative side of our production and consumption patterns.
Watching this video will teach you something, make you laugh, and it just may change the way you look at all the stuff in your life forever.
I would love to see this kind of thing taught in schools. What do you think?

Specially, this video will change the way you look at consumerism. It’s become so easy to just buy up all kinds of things and then throw them out. It’s hard not too when everything is so “cheap” (Insert eye roll here). This video can help us all become more cautious consumers. There is always room for improvement, especially when we are more aware of how everything is connected.
Finally, this video made me realize that this is not just a consumption problem, but more importantly an education problem. People don’t even realize what’s going on. I believe that once you become aware, you won’t want to contribute to this growing problem. No one is going to be perfect but every little bit helps. Thank you “Story of Stuff” for changing the way we think of our world one viewer at a time.
